Victorian Dollhouse

- Made from a Duracraft kit, this dollhouse has
been upgraded to a much higher level by
adding a large amount of solid wood trim,
which in turn helps to reinforce the joints. - It is sturdily constructed using wood glue. The
base is reinforced with a wood frame
underneath the entire house. The roof is
reinforced with a one-inch ridge cap. - The hardwood floors and roof shingles have a
shellac finish. The house is painted with a
variety of latex paints, including the exterior
walls, interior ceilings and all of the trim,
inside and out.
Overall
- Dimensions are: 21 1/2" wide, 19" deep, and
29" tall - Five rooms
- Three floors, all with real hardwood veneer
flooring. 1st floor, Cherry; 2nd floor,
Mahogany, and 3rd floor, Oak. - Two staircases, one permanant, and one
removeable.
Interior
- One bay window
- One box window with window seat
- Working front door and working French doors
on balcony - Three working windows, including two double-
hung and one swinging window - Victorian style-baseboard
- Wainscoting and chair rail
- Crown molding
- Wallpaper throughout.
- Spindled railing surrounds the staircase
opening - All windows are silk-screened, including the
transoms - Window and door trim
- Real cherry veneer flooring on the main floor
- Real mahogany veneer flooring on the second
floor - Real oak veneer flooring on the attic floor
- These veneers have lemon-shellac finish
which gives them a warm glow
Exterior
- Cedar shake shingle roof with a light shellac
finish - Painted front steps and trim
- Hand-turned porch columns
- Pine decking on front porch and balcony

- Dentil molding
- Stenciled stone work around entire base of
house - Reinforced solid-wood frame base

- Exterior front steps will be shipped
unattached. These may be permanantly
glued, or stored away when dollhouse is not
